The project aims to increase resource efficiency through the recycling of residues covering the entire cycle. It is constructed as need-driven research to process mine tailings in a circular economy concept, as secondary raw materials.
The objective of REVIVING project is to get improved models for efficiently recycling metals from residues in case-study mines, based, for the first time, on tailings autochthonous microbiome manipulation, using molecular data to promote the bioleaching bacterial populations, and innovative hydrometallurgy, using negative pressure.
