The National Institute of Research and Development for Biological Science Bucharest (INCDSB) is organizing the IUBMB Symposium on Modern Biotechnologies in Sustainable Development of the Danube Delta – STANDArD. The symposium is dedicated to the dissemination of the advances in the field of biotechnologies and sustainable development of the Danube Delta.

The objectives of the STANDArD symposium are to provide an opportunity for scientists around the world to present and discuss their latest scientific results and to develop stronger relationships between researchers focused on sustainable development and research related areas.

The symposium will cover the following (but are not limited to) main topics:

• Biotechnology in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystem
• Sustainable development in different wetland ecosystems
• Biotechnology in human health
• Biotechnologies for environmental rehabilitation
• Biodiversity and bioresources for bioeconomy
• Natural products in medicine and food
• Remote sensing control for ecosystem status monitoring
• Bioanalysis versus Biotechnology
• Danube Delta: on-situ evaluation of the ecosystem (application day)

The oral talks and posters will be held in English.
